Well, the problem is, it's more extensive, but's is also a whole load to start with. Plus, I find that in general, certain parts of live albums you don't want to hear over and over again, because it's the same performance. Song introductions, minute-long buildups, in-between jokes, those kind of things.
| | | Yeah I can definitely understand that. Two Step is extremely long on that, I think the intro is about 1-2 minutes. The highlight for me on that is always Cortez the Killer with Warren Haynes.

Yeah, that's some pretty cool guitah work going on there. And another intro that's too long: Don't Drink the Water. If I put up this record the second or third time, I want the actual music to kick in almost right away.
| | | Yeah I think I figured out the song actually starts around 3 minutes so I usually just fast forward to there. But it would be great not to have to do that.

Or it would be great to actually be able to skip forward on my cd player.

^^Same here for 'Live At Folsom Field'. It opens with 'Don't Drink The Water' wich is very
slow to start. The merged 'Big Eyed Fish / Bartender' are clearly an highlight on this set, but the latter drags a bit, as if it had no end. My point is that all songs on here that last more than ten min.('Angel', 'Warehouse', 'Two Step', 'All Along The Watch Tower'..etc..) could have been better if shorter, in a more studio format. By doing so, they could expand their setlist instead.
Must admit that these are songs that can be exploited to include few jams, but with moderation, why not! .. What would be their advantage to expand their songs with no restraint if they bring nothing more, or if they become painfully repetitive or does not sound much like the studio version...
