Decent review; I agree with your rating of 3.0; this album has good songs, but the problem I had was with this sound engineering. The bass EQ is too low, which lowered the intensity of the tracks.

I can use an Ocean track from their Aeolian album to sum up Descend into Depravity, Dead serious & highly professional. This whole album just hits the spot for me, so intense.

As Casper1581 mentioned, this is a well-executed album. Very well executed I think. The transitions between some of the riffs are mind blowing! It gets me every time! The overall structure laid out for each track is well done. Death metal at it's finest in my opinion.

reading this review again, i found the whole section about DF realizing "that shock factor has already
paid off well for them and in turn, needed to learn how to get good fast." is pretty much false...
i wonder if you have ever listened to early dying fetus, because theyve had WELL above-par
instrumentals throughout their entire career. literally, on every album theyve made.
