I tried really hard to get into the last release and just couldn't do it. Will this one change my mind? Doesn't sound like it. I like for my post-rock to have a harder edge and based on this review it sounds like this goes in the opposite direction.

less post-rock plz downer
this is my first post rock review since Mono in March. Thankfully, writing this helped me remember why I had that post-rock hiatus

Use of the term "blue-balling" makes a good review a great one.

fuuuck I was in the middle of reviewing this. might finish it off anyway, even though this one is way better, mostly cos I give it more love than you do (which I feel it deserves)

Good review. It's Not Me was only okay so I probably won't check this out.

I think this gets disappointment of 09. not that it was bad (in fact it's ok), it just couldn't live up.

Heart of Hearts is so sexy.

"Unfortunately, this blue-balling is a common thread throughout In Never Out, as pg.lost tease and touch, but never go all the way."
haha, that gave me a good little laugh

This is their best album. The darker tone/atmosphere juxtaposed with some of the best crescendos p/r has ever seen = godly. It's Not Me isn't too far behind though.
I think A Final Vision off Versus might be their best song though, the drumming on that and the band in general is elite tier.
