Cool, I'll take that on board.
Seriously, this is close to a 4.5.

Just edited the link to Burn Your Name, its on their myspace.
Also, they're being idiots with the singles, they're choosing the ones that don't show their new sound.

I swear it feels like I've read this review before...
Yep, exactly the same for me. I figured mine out: This morning's Herald Sun had a review of this album and it opened the same way by saying Dream Days was a let down but now they've risen again...

Wow, lol, what a coincidence.

Michael, this is probably the best review that you've written, man.
My only major problems arise in your formatting and paragraphs, along with a few grammar problems resulting in some awkward phrases.
That's just me, anyway. Good work, mate; keep trying.

Can you point them out?
I'd rather edit then leave them
Thanks though, I tried my hardest with it.

Sure.
Okay, the unwritten law for formatting is Italics for Album Titles and "Quotes for Song Titles". Underlining and bolding tend to look daggy.
Now, with the review.
It was by no means terrible, but it lacked that spark, that energy, that had driven their previous releases.
Choose either "spark" or "energy" here as it sounds like you're repeating yourself. I personally prefer spark, but whatever.
Now we come to November 2009, half of Powderfinger’s fans are holding on tight, begging for a good release, and the other half have given up almost completely.
Too many commas. Try a full stop after 2009.
What a shame too, as Golden Rule is a fine return to form. Showcasing a soaring string section on a number of tracks and the energy their last album was missing.
Try
What a shame too, as Golden Rule is a fine return to form. The album showcases a soaring string section on a number of tracks, and the energy their last album was missing has been returned/restored/anything like that.
Now...
Poison In Your Mind offers a soft, lone violin, thickly plucked banjo and gorgeous vocal harmonies, along with a guitar twiddle that sounds like Paul Dempsey wrote it, it may be less than 3 minutes in length, but it’s far from filler material.
"twiddle" is a strange word to use. Also, maybe add "Something For Kate's Paul Dempsey", so people know who you're talking about. Additionally, there needs to be a fullstop after "wrote it. To avoid having "it. It", you should change the second "it" to "the track" or "the song".
That's all on an initial reading, I'll probably try again later.

Awesome mate, just save it for next week when the official release comes around, then we might have a shot at a feature (or would they feature it anyway?)

Congrats on the feature, Michael! I think you may be the youngest person to ever have a featured review, too - fantastic work.
