I *hate* it when people freak out - so I don't. Thanks for the high praise; Just doing my job as a hobby music reviewer!

The day people get telekinetic powers will be the day I dodge bullets! Anyway, I think I'll open up my review for sputnik by shutting up now. Sound good?

Just listened to a couple tracks, it's nice to hear that the guitars don't sound like a sea of muddy mess like they do on all their other albums.

I'm probably giving this a 3.5 or so, but I'm willing to bet this is gonna get overshadowed by the ton of other metal releases this year.

Judging by the tracks I've heard this sounds better than their last, which was really bland mostly due to the production and the vocals. And talking about vocals, what's up with Dallas' voice? It's like there's no low-end to his growls anymore. I think I'm gonna stick with Shrines and Annihilation.

Vocals rule, guitars rule, album is too spastic and all over the place. I just don't get it even though it's a good band.

Vocals ruled on their 2003 and 2005 releases. I'm just nitpicking but it seems like they've taken a new approach to make it more accessible. The thing is it just doesn't sound as brutal as before. Otherwise this is pretty good.

Great review for a f**king amazing, brutal, crushing and technical as f**k record. This is right behind Augury's epic opus as album of the year for me. Absolutely KILLER! Best drumming I think I've ever heard. George still has it!

You cannot f**k with this album. Go buy it. Now.

@Erebus666,

I am yet to hear Augury's new album. I've heard good things.

I've never been much of a fan of Nile. Still, might have to check this one out. I just couldn't get into their other releases. Good review.

I love 10-minute Nile songs. I don't think I'd like a whole album.

A properly produced Nile album is win IMO. Iskander D'hul Karnon is simply epic.

The perfect death metal band, as far as I am concerned. Literally everything I need is on this album.

They set the bar so high and actually follow through on their concept, so when it's good, it's really really good, really.

And when it's bad it's really bad. None of that here, though.

None of that here, though, except for almost everywhere.

Fix'd that for you. Review was great, album was not. It's much better than Ithyfalllliiicjklajlsf-whatever it was called, but calling this a good record simply because the guys remembered how to write actual songs does not automatically qualify it as a classic =O
