Even though I haven't heard a thing from this, I can see myself agreeing with this review over the others. Well done Taylor. Always a superb writer : ).

strizz who's that in your avy?
That would be Steven Seagal photoshopped to look like Dan Hibiki from the Street Fighter series because Dan fucking rules and so does Steven Seagal when he's not being offensively racist

Well done, Jake the review shows you are still in form. As for the album...

Well-written review, but I feel like you could clarify the overall theme a little more at the end; I'm still not exactly sure if you're saying there's no difference between any Slayer albums, or that this one is actually superiour or if it is in fact inferior. But I'm pretty sure you're saying one of those three things.
I any case, this was a very enjoyable read. I think this album might be a slight grower for me (although I already moved my rating from 3 to 3.5 so maybe it's not so slight). Although the weird breakdown at the end of the title track still hasn't clicked with me yet.

Your response is essentially what I was probing - do you perceive Slayer's albums are creations, or mere permutations. I mentioned each to attempt to entice your own reasoning behind this. But really, I didn't write the review with all this in mind, I really just went with the flow.

It's not that they are special or anything, they just sound really cool and catchy I think. This obviously is nothing close to their best though.

not that bad indeed

Nice work =(, tight review.
Saw the special edition of this in my local record store the other day, packaging is so good.
Never really got into this band much - Disciple is a pants-shitter of a track, though.
I assume Reign in Blood is the record to get?

Reign in Blood is the veritable classic, but Seasons in the Abyss has always been my favorite. You really can't go wrong with any of the first 4 full-lengths though (Hell Awaits, Reign in Blood, South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss).

yea, forgot about that one; I always think of Show No Mercy as an EP for some reason.. no idea why. I think I'm always confusing it with Haunting the Chapel.
Either way... you're stupid.

You pretty much only need Reign In Blood ---> Seasons In The Abyss as everything else (with exception to this and Christ Illusion) is vastly inferior

^ I essentially agree, although I don't think Divine Intervention and Hell Awaits are all that bad. Not as good as the ones you mentioned, but good nonetheless.
