yeah, i did have a discussion with you on settle the sky, and i guess we just disagree on the devil wears prada.

The auto-tune isn't really my problem with this album anyways, it's the terrible song writing. I laugh every time they use that backwards symbol sample as an excuse for a transition in EVERY song and beefing up half of their breakdowns.

The devil wears prada distinguishes itself in ever song, and remains true to its roots in being fun, breakdowny, sing-songy, and the leaders in their niche of self pioneered metalcore. This band uses that sticcato string effect in like 10 of their breakdowns.

I really like this CD, i dont know if it's gonna be in my personal top 10 and im not going to remember this forever, but it's a damn good first CD for a band that deserves a little more credit than they get.

but indie is right..they could have gone for a little less of a AA! and TDWP mixture, and gone for a cleaner less produced sound.

but the fact remains its a damn fun listen and i like it =)

They're only unoriginal because a thousand (literally) bands copied them. They were original when plagues was released. I agree they're nothing amazing, but they get my feet moving every time.

I also agree with waior's review which stated that the biggest disappointment with wrabb is the lack of progression, even though it IS there, just not as much as one would warrant necessary under a band so popular.

Well, apart from their keyboards, they weren't really that original. and honestly, the keyboards are way overhyped. Also, I may have been a bit harsh, I was really drunk last night

This is probably the most gimmicky album I have ever heard. So damn catchy though....

^^^ I agree with all of you. If they worked out the gimmicks, they might be able to do something.

Joey Sturgis is to blame; his production techniques are so noticeable.

^exactly, esp. the shitty use of Autotune on here (i'm not saying Autotune is shitty in itself, which it usually is, I'm saying that it was just poorly applied on here- too obvious to sound natural and too subtle to sound like the intentional effect). You can really tell (esp. from their live performances) that they're a bad band, and he's using every bit of studio magic that he's got to make them sound good.

Tho, he did a great job on Closure in Moscow's latest (which is great btw), but they're actually a good band with a ton of talent, and can pull their shit off live.

These guys are good. Mega catchy. Beliefs is the best song on the album. It shows WCAR at the best they can be, and it has the best synth loop on the whole cd, and probably that I've heard in a while. (Aside from I See Stars). Actually, I find these guys to be a heavier IST, but they do sound like TDWP at some points (Listen to the chugging in Searching, Seeking, Reaching, Always)
