it's pretty funny that you haven't heard a single track from one of the most famous metal bands of all time ;). Oh well, Korn is a very preferred taste anyway and plainly - if you dig some nu metal you'll like Korn, if not then just drop it. Their bass work is pretty original and well executed though you might want to look up a few songs from youtube just to familiarize yourself.

I will sometime this week. Seeing as Meteora is a personal classic than I might as well check out the band that is responsible for that album even existing, right?

yep, of course it cannot be said that Korn are the only ones responsible for the birth of nu metal, but their debut is widely known as the first nu metal album and Korn is/was considered a trendmaker for the things that came after their debut LP (aka the huuuuuuuge nu metal infestation that hit the states in the mid 90's till early 2000's)

Good work once again styles, although as you probably know I don't care about this genre. I would change bass-work to just bass work though.

they aren't 100% alike, but there definitely are many similarities yes.

I know this is old but this band while maybe having some influence of Rammstein actually have more of Fear Factory and Pantera influence. He can tell because the lead does try to sound a little like Phil. I also I think it's called Fly, you can tell it's a love letter to Korn. But I think their first album is their best, definitely a lot heavier.
