you got this one spot on. it's not a world-beater but it's a hell of a good start, bodes well for their next album.
as for band comparisons, it's very like The Swellers (whose vocalist guests on "i climbed for miles"), or like some others have said, a less shreddy a wilhelm scream.

the gyrados comparison was awesome, but the record is quite meh~
fun but nothing special or outstanding at all. maybe I am not enough into pop punk to like this. this is so "wannabe happy"...know what I mean? :/
if I want such, I rather listen to cartel, the higher, emery...dunno.
