Here in the southtown, yo, you know that kids don't play

Love everything these guys have done apart from that last one... that was pretty bad, it probably has something to do with the return of their original guitarist, i liked the other guy, he was more... talented and it showed on those two albums he made with them.

I liked the review. But POD lost any relevance after nu-metal went out of fashion and even then I didn't find them to be that interesting. well thanks anyway Red (still not used to your new name haha).Used to really like these guys. Probably would've liked them now as well if they hadn't released some horrible shit albums after Satellite. well Testify wasn't that bad really, it was rather good imo. Their self-titled is a guilty pleasure of mine as i know it rather sucks in truth.Great review. I was quite into POD back in my Nu Metal phase (I started a Nu Metal Band and everything back then), but I barely listen to them now. oh man, i've listened to P.O.D. for about 8-9 years now and i still really dig their music. Also thanks to you too.
@Relinquish - thanks and yea Southtown owns face, as does this whole cd and also the Satellite cd.

Youth of the Nation just speaks to me; damn good song.

agreed, 2nd and 3rd verse along with the anthemic cross-singing between P.O.D. and the choir of the youth is where its at.

totally forgot about the downtuned, delayed verse riff!

for sure, looking at the video it's as fresh as it was 9 years ago.
"Youth Of The Nation" + "Goodbye for Now" for the best mainstream rock duo of songs ever? Why not in my mind.

I
I feel so alive

Youth of the nation was/is a great song, Boom was always my favorite on Satellite though.
|

Goodbye for Now is really great too, love that ending.
Alive was the first POD song i ever heard, takes me way back.

haha, as far as i go, you're the only digger here the fact that you don't dig Portrait is just sad man. That intro to it sends chills down my spine and the middle part is pure awesomeness along with the solo. And yeah Boom is also FTW.

wow, Portrait is nothing how i remembered it when i last listened to it. it's actually a really good song! i think the last time i listened to it was almost 7 years ago....

I'm glad someone likes P.O.D. as much as I do, one of the few nu-metal bands you don't have to be ashamed to admit liking. Way to go dude.
