Agree with most of the last paragraph - "This album is the legacy of returning heavy music back into the mainstream, more than anything else. And it that sense, yes, Appetite for Destruction IS a classic".



For me it really needs to be more than that for a 5 "classic" rating.

I can perfectly understand that, but the actual music is also great. What you think of this album really depends on what perspective you choose to take.

I remember when I first heard this is thought that the singles were amazing and that was about it, but then I went on a car trip and the album just clicked and it somehow became a classic album. I think I listened to it in it's entirety about 7 times in one weekend.



Sadly because of the constant enjoyment i've somewhat worn it out, it's still good for a play every now and then though, might put it on later!
