It's the truth, the majority of this website is a big fan of the 'try before you buy' policy, and I
don't see how it made my comments invalid. After all, anyone can review any album they want, if it
came out 2 years ago or 40 years ago it doesn't matter. And Halo, Wolves and A Farewell to Arms, while
good songs, are nowhere near "better than the 98% of the metal ever made".

If I'm unsure whether I'm going to like a band/artist then I will download an album of theirs. If I
like it I download more, and if I really like the band then I will buy the albums. If they deserve the
money I have no problem with buying the CD.
I'm not gonna buy Brokencyde's album for example, because thanks to music 'theft' I know it's a shit
album, and they don't deserve my money. However I have no problem with buying dredg's El Cielo, seeing
as how it's in my top 5 all-time albums.

I reviewed a two year old album because I didn't actually listen to the whole thing until before I wrote this review. I was completely honest when I said I got the album because of Aesthetics of Hate and just listened to that song.
Also, if you had looked at my profile, you'd know I don't listen to pop punk. Death's Human Album is regarded as the band's finest work and none of the songs are over 5 minutes. Slayer's Reign in Blood is considered a defining Thrash album, and most of the songs are around 2.5 minutes.
I'm trying to offer a different style of review than an overview of each song, which is why you probably thought it wasn't "professional." I'm not getting paid for this. I'm just writing to express my opinion of this album, and my opinion is that most of the longer songs on "The Blackening" shouldn't have been as long. Like I said, there's a difference between making a song long with progressive elements and just padding the length of a song to extend it on purpose.
