Surprisingly excellent album it still sucks that eyesore remains the strongest song on it though

singer of this band reminds me a lot of Kevin Matisyn, formerly of Evans Blue...and that's a compliment

Janus is great, I saw them live with Chevelle a few months ago and met them after the show, really cool guys.

I really like this album as well, Stranger is amazing and the first verse of "Skin Deep" is my ringtone =D

Um...this isn't a debut. They have another album called "Armor" that was released in 2004. All in all though I really like this album.

This band is great. They have been around longer than RED. Their album "Armor" from 2004 is awesome.

4 years after the under-rated 'Armor', Chicago alt-metal outfit Janus return with their 3rd LP 'Red Right Return'. Again, the quartet aren't specializing in originality, but have included more strings to their bow here, with a more pronounced synth presence adding atmosphere & a greater variation in pace enhancing diversity. Down-tuned riffs & chunky power-chords drive the band's admittedly dated sound, although David Scotney's passionate & improving vocal harmonies are pushed more to the fore. If Janus can add some technicality & innovation, then they could well have a huge future. Recommended Tracks: The Nerve, 100 Years, If I Were You & Eyesore.

Just rediscovered this, forgot how fantastic this album was. Is the rest of their discography as good as this?

Stains or Pound of Flesh is pretty indicative of the whole album

Just jammed In Flames, and Stains. I really need to get that album. It sounds fantastic and reminds me of Red's Innocence and Instinct a fair bit.

Promise to No One is a good heavy track too. And yeah the guitar tone is pretty reminiscent of Red
