"Looks like a Dougie review"

Only on the surface Dougie, only on the surface. Clint Jones looks like Nick Riewoldt too!

Are you serious Dougie? You know, the guy who has pretty much played every game this year:

Ross, stop calling me God or else I will get a complex... Or think I am Robbie Fowler.

Living Colour are mine... All mine.

Thanks mate. Remember that I expect your next review by the weekend.

Yeah I know, and I'm working on it mate. New Cribs album will be on the recieving end of a good going over from me, as soon as I can bring myself away from listening to Brand New for an hour or so! I'm aiming for slightly earlier that the weekend but I'm not making any halfhearted promises that I have no intention of keeping.

Ross, are we talking a Crazy Frog like going over? LOL.

I've got my hands on the Brand New album, but am yet to listen to it. What are your initial thoughts?

Thanks Trey. There is practically none of the industrial sound that LC occasionally experimented in on this LP, although a few electronics do sneak in every now & then. In fact, the first minute or so of the album suggests that's the way they may be headed.

It's good but you're not missing anything.

I wish they would add more electronics, because I just can't get into this album.

Well I won't be giving it a 1 ...in fact I'm still not quite sure what I'll give it; probably won't be any higher than a three though. I've listened to it quite a few times now and it's got nothing on Men's Needs, Woman's need, Whatever. Johnny Marr doesn't really add anything to the formula...

As for Brand New, I actually haven't heard the new album. I'm just getting into them as a result of the attention the new album is receiving and so I was actually reffering to The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me, which is quite excellent.

Oh Trey, you always wish heavy bands would add more electronics. LOL. ;-) Actually, just to clarify the point on the track ordering in my review, I fully believe this is a better LP if you simply start at track 5 & go through to the end, and then pick up the first 4 tracks later. It really makes a difference for mine.

Johnny Marr can't keep still of late. And Ross, if you are thinking of ignoring Brand New's 'Deja Entendu', please don't. I actually prefer it over 'The Devil & God...'

Not at all Davey, why in fact I just "aquired" a copy a few minutes ago - along with the new Paramore album (another album I am in vain hope of reviewing). Course I don't condone illegal downloading or anything, its more like a free taster, honest.
