seen 'em over 40 times and it's always different.
the big thing is i really don't think they suit live venues the size of the sound academy. they thrive in more intimate settings n shit

When I saw them they were good. It was about an 850 person venue, so not exactly intimate but far from a huge show (not sure how big the specific venue no the DVD is). Rody was wasted on stage but was still awesome. Band could have moved around more for sure but they delivered a spot-on performance during their set so I had no complaints. Just a random question Coke: How many times have you seen these guys play sober? Just curious since I don't have much to compare my experience to.
|
| |
wow its bad surprise
|
| |
I've mostly only seen them play sober. I haven't actually seen them play more than twice in the last year or two and the drunkenness kind of only took over since then.
|
| |
These guys were amazing live. Don't want to see the DVD.

rating might be a lil harsh. but yeah, my biggest beef(and apparently everyone else's) with this is the vocals. sounds great at some points and then sound pretty darn bad at others.. haven't seen the dvd though
|
| |
Im soooo mad I missed seeing them along with Between The Buried and Me, In Flames, and Killswitch Engage. wouldve been such a kickass concert
|
| |
yeah i saw 'em with between the buried and me and glass casket a few years ago and it ruled
|
| |
wtf is with the bass slapping a little after 30 secs on spoils and again at 1:13

the sound quality on the CD is pretty awful. i might readjust when I watch the DVD
|
| |
The sound quality is better on the CD than the DVD, though.
|
| |
ive seen em a couple of times live, and the live cd sort of demonstates what they are like, all instruments are tight but rody can be a let down with his vocals and sometimes arrogant rants on stage.
dont get me wrong, i fucking adore PTH but live is a little different.

oh my god the editing fucking sucks
|
| |
The sheer dexterity and skill of the band (sans the consistently inconsistent Rody) make up for the numerous flaws. I recognize how disastrous this can be, replete with god awful editing, shitty screen effects and useless extras, but can't help but enjoy this immensely, and find myself watching it again and again.

bad review. how is limb from limb? points also lost for thinking Kezia > Fortress

The dvd was so disappointing. The camera never focused on the right member when there shouldve been a spotlight on them (especially Arif, the bassist). Editing was cheesy, Rody was horrible, and the whole dvd was a mess.
Fortress is one of my favorite albums, such a shame this dvd doesnt justify it :'(
