Solid review Gregory. In a strange way, your reviews remind me of my early ones. There is a sort of informal style to the writing that makes them easy enough to read, but needs to be polished up. So keep an eye on that.

i actually still like a couple songs from One-X, especially Time of Dying. the riff in that song is really not bad at all.

True. The chorus is horrible as i remember it now. That's the main problem with these guys...they can write really good riffs, but they can't write good songs. And just "good riffs" get boring after awhile without the context of a good song to go with 'em.

I prefer their past stuff to this this too. The lead singles of the first two records are a ot stronger than break in my opinion.

Sweet Zipp3r i'll check it out then. That prolly means it'll start out a 4.5, and then gradually work it's way down to around 2.5...just like One-X did.

This (well written) review tells me all I need to know. I probably won't mind the singles from this whenever I hear them but won't make the mistake of listening to the rest.
