wow ...you call death magnetic a better album...you mean the album that had unforgivin 3 on it?? the album i listened to bout 2 and 1/2 times and stank of mediocracy...havent listened to to it since...tho its metallica's best effort in 20 years its nothing to jump up and down about...but as for band wagon riders like you it will be over glorified...your an idiot dude and arent a true metal head ...metallica is done and has been for 20 years after they ripped off dave and his and cliff burtons influence wore off.
I rarely replt to any of this crap but sick of hearing about how great metallica is..they were good till and justice and that was over 20 years ago...get over it dude END GAME is far better album ..plz lets hear true metalers review not some biast metallica butt sniffers

lol @ LeperCon, that was hilarious.
It's tough for me to say which one I like better, seeing as how I've only heard Endgame a couple times and I just bought it today. I'm in that phase when you first get a disc where it seems like the greatest thing ever.. so I'm assuming that will wear out soon.
If it wasn't for Death Magnetic's shitty production, I think it would be the clear cut winner. Metallica are just some of the best songwriters in metal history, and as awesome as Megadeth is for sheer ferocity and technicality, they've never been able to write classic songs the way Metallica has.

So a true metal head likes Megadeth over Metallica 100% of the time? Interesting theory. Horribly wrong though.
EDIT: I agree with your point there, Inveigh

ok then lets hear your take on it ..this should be good cause been huge fan of both at one time and listened to both of them since they started

and metallica arent metal and havent been for 20 years..they sold out...plain and simple...but DM is not better than EG in any stretch of imagination

But you're actually like 12 or something. Didn't mommy ever tell you its not nice to lie?
Yeah, Metallica sold out. So did Megadeth. Get the hell over it kid, it happened before you were born, nobody cares anymore.

well inveigh thats matte rof opinion ...you mean mainstream..and well RIP wasnt classic? and ohh who wrote alot of metallica's early shit?..i do believe thats dave. check your band history dude..dave has done his shit and he paid for it...but he is far better and more productive song writter than anyone from metallica...name one good song written by them since black album?

It's not that I don't think RIP is a classic METAL album -- it is. But compare Megadeth's first attempt at mainstream success to Metallica's. Countdown to Extinction had some good songs, sure, but not songs that crossed boundaries. You will be hard pressed to find person who likes music (ANY kind of music, not just metal) who doesn't know at least 2 or 3 songs off the black album. Megadeth has never written a song like Nothing Else Matters or The Unforgiven or My Friend of Misery -- those aren't just great metal songs, they're just great songs.
And Dave didn't write "alot of metallica's early shit," he wrote a couple riffs on Kill 'Em All (mainly in Four Horsemen) and he wrote one riff in The Call of Ktulu. You can find songwriting credits in the album booklets you know...
You also don't want to challenge my knowledge of Metallica's history. I was a huge fan of both theirs and Megadeth's growing up (and I actually grew up in the late 1980s and 1990s) and I've read multiple books and seen documentaries on both. There's not too many people out there who know more about Metallica than me.
As far as good songs since the black album:
Until It Sleeps
Bleeding Me
Wasting My Hate
Ronnie
Outlaw Torn
Memory Remains
Unforgiven II
Fixxxer
All Within My Hands
(almost every song on Death Magnetic)
just to name a few....

Any reasonably intelligent person could read your comments and automatically come to the conclusion that you are just a little kid defending your favorite band.
Take that shit to youtube. Don't sign up on sputnik just to be a douche bag.

no myhigh like i said ive read over and over and over ...about metallica so great and they not proven that in long time..they ran out of gas long ago and ppl still are like they are best and push down dave..i used to LOVE metallica..just cant feel them anymore

You're not feeling me here.
Do not sign up here just to start a fight with people. That is what's called a troll, and they are not regarded kindly around here.
So do something productive and shut the fuck up or just leave.

anyway i dont really like the whole debate over who is better ..but everytime they are compared...i think endgame was real solid effor from deth and i thought DM was a nother attempt to get back in mainsteam light ..but thats my opinion ill keep to self for now on

I love Metallica AND Megadeth. I've got nothing against either band. I just don't see why people have to hate on Metallica. It's like they got their feelings hurt when a band they liked got popular. If you don't like them, don't listen to them. No need to go around spreading hatred and insults.
Unless you're talking about Limp Bizkit. Then it's acceptable.
|

i agree inveigh ...good call..i took the shot as dave will be always looking up at metallica as a cheap shot and unfair...when tho dave never reached the mainsteam like metallica dont mean he didnt produce alot of good music

All right then. You did that. Has his opinion changed at all in the slightest?
I don't think so.
I think a reasonably intelligent "36 year old" would be able to see what that means.

I can agree with that. I think Megadeth has their place in metal history and so does Metalllica. They're both great bands, just for different reasons.

@ deth09: No one took a 'shot' at Megadeth or Dave, he was stating his opinion to which he is entitled to. You are just as entitled to an opinion but will stand to be taken more seriously if you learn to spell correctly and stop act like your opinion is the only one that is right
