Haha i know, has been good reading. Yes i have, kinda annoying. Seven was using Trial Kennedy heaps during the middle of the season, still doesn't beat 9's constant Birds of Tokyo usage when the cricket was on. Although TV's use of music has gotten depressing lately, BoT on Neighbours, i mean they had some kid bashing pots n pans to Wild Eyed Boy.

"LOL gyro. I walked into the staff dibbing thread & found pretty much every album until next June taken. Well, all but the occasional house music album. Haha. Nah, I'm exaggerating, but Muse had already been dibbed by someone, so no, it won't be me reviewing it. I will do a sound-off for it after it comes out though... just for you."
lmao, excellent! thank you. I'd prefer a review though. I intent to try to review some muse before new muse comes out and then review new muse.

Billy, I don't watch Neighbours, but if you ask me, Birds Of Tokyo should be played all day & all night on every channel! No pots n pans should be involved however.
Actually gyro, I don't think reviewing any Muse album is an easy task. I recall having difficulty when writing my sound-offs for all of their albums. I just wanted to keep writing & writing to try to explain myself clearly. So good luck if you're going to tackle them... You might need it.

honestly, it's hard for me to justify my 5/5 rating for absolution, but i would very much like to write a review for it before the resistance comes out. don't know about you, but i have high hopes for that album. also, thanks!

Ditto re: Absolution. No harm done it giving it a go mate.
As for 'The Resistance', I'm not so sure. I can't help but get the feeling that it may get a little too ambitious for it's own good. I'm not one who believes that 'Origin of Symmetry' is their best LP and I can't help but get the feeling this will be most similar to that.
I tell you what I did want the new Muse album to sound like. Get your ears around the new Biffy Clyro single 'That Golden Rule'. It defines the word "awesome".

i will certainly check that out.
have you heard the sample clips? i know that that's no fair way to judge an album, and that it can also ruin the experience, but the symphony sounds like it's going to be excellent; especially part three.
i personally love origin of symmetry, but i know where you stand on that. that was my first exposure to muse, and i was hooked instantly. it definitely has some of their best songs, you can't deny.

Yeah, I've heard a few of the samples, but it is indeed no way to judge an album... Or even an individual song for that matter. That goes doubly so when it comes to Muse.

Look at you on a roll, and still as consistent as ever. I have no idea who this guy is (surprised? ha ha), and I can't pos anymore so now my comments on your reviews are even more pointless than ever ;)

God, I hate that When Love Takes Over song. It makes me die a little inside when I see Facebook statuses of people I knew at school saying, "OMG DA NEW DAVID GUETTA ALBUM IS TH BEST OV 2009 SO FAR MAYBE EVEN DA DECADE."
Bad times.
Excellent review, although I Gotta Feeling this is more like a 1/5 ;]

House > Metal. Just kidding, they both suck equally. you just killed me inside a little. This man has potential, but I have never really been a fan

Something gives me the feeling that I won't be as consistent a staff reviewer as you Trey. Actually, I am surprised that you don't know who this guy is, as 'When Love Takes Over' has been pretty much everywhere over the past couple of months.
Oh come on Adam, that song is good. Your problem with it stems from facebook, so get rid of that. Haven't you learnt yet that facebook has now been taken over by the over 30 crowd looking to talk to school-friends from 20 years earlier that they ditched for some reason they cannot recall?
Sorry about that metalstyles. It seems this review kills a few people a little inside.

Nice dude, wasn't expecting anyone to review this. This whole new return-of-House is really annoying me, because the sort of House music they play in most clubs around Sydney suck and none of the Djs know how to do it right - it's just the cool thing to do. Guys like Kato, Anna Lunoe or the Bang Gang crew still bring the party tho, but I don't think anyone here would recognise those names, =/

"Nice dude, wasn't expecting anyone to review this." I wasn't expecting anybody to read it. Just thought it would be something different that could maybe score the site a few new readers/users since reviews of this album around the net are quite scarce.
"............................. but I don't think anyone here would recognise those names" Hmmm, it sounds like you're Sputnik's house music reviewer Alex.

Actually, I couldn't squeeze anything about 'Sexy Bitch' into the review at all. Overall, I'm neither here nor there about it. This is a positive since I usually hate Akon with a passion. He sounds like a chipmunk to me.

lol, I don't actively listen to enough of it to qualify. I just dance to the damn stuff.

"I don't actively listen ... I just dance to the damn stuff."
Hahahaha. I think that's what I meant in the review when I said "only to be served to the drunk & horny". LOL. Just saying.

I.... I.... Oh god.

Yeah, I usually hate Akon, too.
