Agree with the points in your review completely. Although yeah it doesn't seem like a 2.5 review. Just seriously can't like this band.

I really enjoy this kind of music, but I couldn't agree with your view on this album more. Thumbs Up!

" I disagree very much. This is a fantastic Meshuggah album (especially following the rather mysterious Catch 33) Remember that's who you are listening to. When a band can get by and write such fantastically complex polyrhythmic material and make it sound as abrasive as they do, why are you expecting anything different this time around? I mean it's your opinion man, I can respect that but this isn't a 2.5, at least not to me.

The melodies that you said "boring" or whatever were never really meant to be interesting, they just add to the atmosphere that the band creates. I'm coming across as some kind of Meshuggah fanboy right now (which I'm not) but it pains me to see a genuinely decent metal album, which is a freak of nature get labelled as "average"

Good review though dude, enjoyed reading. "

I love it how you burn him and then as a rounding off statement saying that it was a very good review despite everything you just said.

I still haven't fully listened to this yet, but from what I did hear, it was just a bunch of nonsensical chugging in odd time signatures. Good review though.

Man that was a pretty decent review. Disagree pretty much entirely, but that was well written, argued and phrased.

I totally disagree, but the review was good and mostly got your point across. I do agree that they should attempt to evolve a little more than they have to this point. Even if the vocals just varied a little bit, that would be a huge leap.

so is this as boring as ur avatar HAHahaA
Are you talking shit about Serenity/Firefly???

The reason I don't have this any lower is because of Bleed, aka the most badassery song maybe ever.

Hmmmmm i like this album alot and what the band are doing seems unique.

But listening to the whole thing is headache inducing haha

but QUOTE : The melodies are uninteresting, often with attempts at dissonance to make up for the fact at how boring they are; the rhythm is the same on every single song

the amout of time changes is mindraping man thats not true
