It's a little disappointing. Still good though.

Yeah this is definitely good but I wouldn't mind if they would have created The Gathering Wilderness after Spirit the Earth Aflame.
Cast to the Pyre and Sons of the Morrigan are remarkable songs though.

Just lately i've been listening to the Primordial stuff before 'The Gathering Wilderness', and as far as song structures and songwriting go, I can't really see any differences. However, the way that primordial organize their songs is second to none-spoken word narratives giving way to razor-sharp riffs reminiscent of early 90's black metal, and some otherworldyl instruments such as the tribal drums in the shorter songs. Add to that epic soundscapes and you have yourself a great album. naturally some of the songs aren't as memorable as others, but this album is just pure proof that the band were amazing way before they started appearing in big-shot magazines and playing at large festivals.

Epic 10 years bump mister.
I remember listening to “To the Nameless Dead” LP and absolutely loving it.
Vocals, vibe & melodies are very specially good.

It's pretty dense, gonna give it another whirl later today, cause on first listen nothing really grabbed me.
