I actually didn't mind Decimate the Weak, but the songs I've heard off this sound exactly the fucking same. One of them even uses the same riff as Decimate the Weak itself.

You guys are acting surprised that a Deathcore band was unable to follow-up a (awful) release.

Just look at All Shall Perish; not even THEY could pull off a decent follow up album.

Good review for the most part, but I've read the first paragraph 3 times and still don't know what you're saying.

Ok I've tried to see to that. Does it make any more sense now?

A little. I wasn't referring to the black metal part, but more to the kind of confusing English. Are you trying to say that being from the City of Angels says something about them? Or their name does? It's just kind of weird.

Good review, although I don't agree with it. And by the way, there is no 'down-tuned violence'. The guitars are being played in E standard.

Good review, it's true what you said about their supposed black metal influences too.

i really think the "similar" drums were used to kinda keep pace with the story they were trying to tell. it is a concept album, and that makes it feel less all over the place. just a theory.

sorry for commenting on an 8 month old post, just wanted to throw that out there.

i loved the opener to decimate the weak. That and Anthems of the Apocalypse were good. The rest was shite.
