I have yet to find a double album that's really worth being long enough for two discs.

Smashing Pumpkins didn't help at all. This Message Edited On 10.29.07

Five of five? And the best they did? Peak?

I think that the low parts of Mellon Collie (of which there were none on the previous release, Siamese Dream, an album much more deserving of such praise) show the decline in the band, they were falling apart a bit and Corgan was losing control of his polysubstance dependent rhythm section... don't get me wrong, its still a fantastic album, I just think Siamese Dream is the top of the SP list....

Um, nothing really, just the first time I heard Blind by Korn, which ultimately led me to heavy music. Pretty big deal I guess.
And to keep this relevant, this album has many of the first grunge songs I heard as well as songs I didn't realize were SP like 1979.

the first time i did it, it was to the movie "300". I broke out in huge laughter when the "THIS IS SPARTA!!!" part came on. Good times. Oh and.. I really hate double albums and this one has a couple of good songs but all in all double albums usually fail and this one is no exception.

yeah, this is a timeless album. I always wish Corgan had finished it properly and made each song flow into the next, along with the concept.
