Ghosts of Autumn is probably my fave here.

The first song composed by Dave, and it was about time, he's become the most prolific songwriter for the band now.

I thought it was Nick

The best Beard material after Neals departure was composed by Dave, I think he has the most songwriting credit since the departure or at least the same percentage as Nick. Nicks presence on this album is very high though.

I just noticed that Dave penned half of the material on X with the assistance of John Boegehold (song co-writer/symphonic arrangements, since 2003)

Yeah, it's really odd that the band can't compose music amongst themselves and they require outside assistance

That recalls me of early King Crimson who hired lyricist Peter Sinfield.
