Honestly fistful, check this out first, as it really encompasses a lot of aspects of Cave In's sound.

If you like the metalcore parts, check out Beyond Hypothermia, and if you like the spacier, rock elements, check out Jupiter or Antenna

More like if you like the "metalcore" parts check out Until Your Heart Stops because it's a far superior album.

They're both good...I just love Jay Frechette's voice. And beyond hypothermia has much more sentimental value to me

The vinyl only thing annoys me. Now I gotta do a digital d/l from somewhere.

I can see why Beyond Hypothermia is rated lower, because the last few songs simply aren't as good, but the rest of the album more than makes up for it. But still, the general opinion =/= my opinion.

Either way, to settle the recommendation, just get both albums. Or be a robot and only get the more higher-rated album, it's your choice

I need this like now - but am also really disappointed in the fact that I can't get it on CD. I hate "paying" for music and not getting a real copy and don't have a record player just yet. Although I might bite the bullet and do it anyway - this better not eventually come out on CD so I have to pay for it twice! Done rant.

Yeah I've been shopping around a little for them. Anybody ever buy one at Guitar Center? I have like a $100 Gift Card that I would love to make use of but only if they have decent ones...?

Retina Sees Rewind is my favourite track at the moment. The whole EP rules though.

Sputnik genre says "Alt/Indie". Review suggests the band is metalcore/rock (& always has been). What's going on?

Their earlier stuff is metalcore, their middle stuff is alt rockish and their most current stuff is a mixture of the two. I guess whoever added them to the database was listening to Jupiter at the time.

the first paragraph says it, man

they used to be metalcore, but turned alt. rock, but have just gone back to mostly metalcore

i was stoked to hear about how they're "heavy" again

edit: beaten
