I really like the album but you are right about how the songs kind of sound the same. I like the new direction the band is going. They just need to learn to make this new direction a little bit better. I think the next album they put out could be amazing if they just add a little bit more to it. (I have no idea what this more should be as long as its something.)

could have sworn when listening to the beginning of Saturnine, i thought it was Lamb of God.

This album's definitely a step towards a new direction, but I like it. It's a fun record to listen to, technical, but also accessible (in a way), I like that the band doesn't take itself too seriously, but they're not entirely a joke band. The highlights for me: Saturnine, Violence In Fluid: Triceratops and Portals.

Love the new vocalist, he has a much better range and sounds more intense than the old one.
Saw these guys live not too long ago and they pulled off most of the new songs very well live too. I see this as a step up from The Game Of Life.
Nice review.

i am currently downloading this, for free, since im not exactly fond of new singer. their old singers had such a unique sound to it, it just sounds like any other deathcore band without them, from what ive heard from the album so far.
but im gonna give it a shot. lets see how it is.

after listening to it a few times though, its not as bad as i thought it was gonna be.
i enjoyed remi's guest appearance in In The Empyreans, but it just makes me wish the entire album had those vocals even more.
also, the ska/reggae section in I Lost My Loss Of Ruin, was straight up awesome.
pretty much blended my 2 favorite genres, as black and white as they are.

This is not an any way a GREAT album, but seeing where AGATG came from, this is definitely a milestone for them.
Plus, the new vocalist sounds fucking awesome in my opinion.

if they did it'd be a better band name...

Arsonists Burn All The Girls is more like it and I saw this band live and thought they were pretty poor, but thats just my opinion

violence in fluid: triceratops, no matter how bad the name, is a really good song.
the rest of the album is pretty good too. i think the game of life is better.
