The reviews for this album surprised me. Honestly, I thought this album was great-and while it's not amazing, it is still a great effort.

To be honest, I'm a huge fan of this album. Billy Talent I & II really got me into the band so I was intrigued to see what they would come up with when III was released.
I must admit it took a while to get used to it, but after a few listens I started to pick up the subtleties of the lyrics. There is still some really powerful stuff in there and just because BT aren't grinding out another album in the same vein as I and II doesn't mean it's a bad thing.
Seeing their show at Camden Underworld in London showed that they still have a solid fanbase who love the new album and will always love Billy Talent!

But it basically is the same album as I and II. And yeah, you're right, hardcore fans will think it rules; that doesn't make it good, because that assertion is true of basically any even semi-mainstream band.

This band was the shit back in the day, I loved them dearly as a 12 year old. Their first two albums still are great. I haven't listened to this yet, but the reviews probably right(didn't deserve the neg) its obvious they've lost the edge, alas... *goes to listen to Try Honesty*
