Thanks Jim. This album is about as good as the 2nd Matrix film. ie: the only movie where I've literally fallen asleep in a packed cinema.

Yeah, a super negative Davey review was a long time coming. Who knows, the floodgates may open now.

I haven't heard Eleventh He Reaches London as yet. I have a packed list of future listening right now.

Listen to "Skeleton Veiled In Flesh" by Doomthrone if you want an easy 1/5. Worst song I have ever heard.

Easy now... Doomthrone will have to get in line behind the frog.

nice one Davey. this sounds awful.

i will never be able to get how people can listen to - and like! - genres such as drone. i mean, they're just random noise! and this sounds like it's just random noise, too.

I was reading about glitch music on Wikipedia last night for the first time ever, and then the next morning I see this review. Weird.

Good review though. :D

Adam, 'FTA' is definitely worth a listen. It's actually quite good (as is 'Night Ripper'). If you really really like them, then you can maybe work backwards one Girl Talk album at a time then.

fromtheinside, please tell me what turns you on about this noise. I'm refusing to call it music now.

I'm with you Pedro (not that I've ever listened to drone) on the random noise issue. And yes, you're correct on me making that conclusion.

This actually reminded me of a review Brent (marksellsuswallets) wrote last year about an album that solely consisted of a phonograph needle being dropped & picked up!

Very weird Magnum. Out of curiosity, what made you look up glitch music?

good review Davey, this sounds seriously wtf. And yes RtR is right about drone music and such, it is just noise, I can't get it how people are able to listen to it

Banging Your Head With a Mallet.

Awesome review. The 1 has come.

Secondly, what is the context of both 'Champ Kind' and 'WHAMMY!'?

^GLITCH as fuck

anyways, i agree with you as usual davey - unstoppable is pretty bad too in my opinion, although not as terrible as this one. and for my money, Night Ripper is heads above feed the animals in quality and replay value. i always felt like feed the animals kept changing songs too quickly than night ripper did, and came out the worse for it.

metalstyles, have you ever heard Sunn 0))) ? i haven't, but one of their so-called "songs" is supposed to be a tape recorder turned on and buried under the soil. what a great chorus it must have, right!?

RtR, that is possibly the weirdest thing I have ever heard haha. Verses, chorus', instrumental work, it all must be amazing right.

Nice pun scyther :thumb

another Sunn 0))) song is a guy trapped inside a coffin delivering his lyrics from there.

i'm definitely not a fan.

oh, and the supposed "hypnotic state" bands like Cult of Luna and Neurosis induce in the listener? i've tried to like them, but i wasn't hypnotized, i was just bored. (and yes, i know they're not drone).

I just spat out a mouthful of water when I saw "not a fan of underground music?". Line of the day right there scyther.

Thanks metalstyles.

Ahhh, I'm glad someone else gave this album a listen & agreed with me. Thanks Rudy. Actually, you summarize his albums fairly well. When I first heard all 4 at the beginning of the year, 'Unstoppable' seemed pretty good just because it was so much better than this garbage I have just reviewed. But on subsequent listens, it really is sub-par. I may review it within the next week, although I'm unsure I have much to say about it.

'Night Ripper' & 'FTA' are so much better than the first 2, it's not funny. BUT my initial thoughts seemed to be in the minority... and that was that 'Night Ripper' was a touch better. I wouldn't say "heads better" like you have though. Having said that, I need to give them both a more detailed listen still. Good feedback though Rudy.

fromtheinside, I actually don't doubt that it can be argued that he is a genius. I'd actually like to go see him live because he is supposed to be very good (tickets sold out very quickly last time he was down under). And the fact that this album is so bad actually makes his story better, because he improved out of sight. But we have to disagree strongly on this individual album.

PS: Is your user-name a reference to the Def Leppard song? Sorry, I had to ask...

you have to see him live whenever he gets to aussie territory; i saw him in a fairly small club in Orlando last March and it was an amazing show - the balconies were literally bouncing. and he's one sweaty dude.
