Mattie didnt write the lyrics for the previous album, you can tell the improvement in Portraits. Met them and they are amazing dudes, who write amazing music.

this is really good...only complaint is the overuse of breakdowns...but i actually kinda respect them of how unafraid they are to use overly Christian lyrics...

great improvement from their already impressive ekklesia album. vocals are amazing as well as the fairly technical guitar work. impressive all around

One of the better metalcore bands out there. Repetitive of course, but they do it well. The CD has enough highlights to keep my attention for the time being.

i sorta think they've matured alot in the breakdown scene and really captured the deathcore meaning .. great ablum and insane number of sub-drops but the only thing put down is the variety of guitar melodies and how much is used. i bet the drummer got a hell of a time in this album.. ive never heard a christian band get so heavy (besides impending doom).. mattie has brushed up on his vocals alot and it shows through their shows. For today is a really moving band and i hope to see better and more of them

Review could be bulked up a bit, the album for me is hard to listen to, even as a metalcore fan, these parts are technical but the song writing and structure are just weak, nothing seems to flow on this for me, except the one song thats more of a melodic hardcore song.... I'll rate this after i get through the whole cd

in my opinion, this album is fantastic. generic metalcore at times, but it is filled with so many amazing moments that make up for some boring parts.
