Part of the reason for this was because "ascendancy", was such a success within the metalcore genre, and for changing their sound to a modern thrash one, it definitely divided the fans.
Um, I'm pretty sure Trivium was widely regarded as a terrible band before Ascendancy.

It's a better review now you have sorted things out and fairly good for a first. Perhaps in your next couple of reviews you may want to experiment with writing styles and what not to get something you are comfortable with. Pro/Cons at the end needn't be there but leave them in if you wish. Other than that just a bit more detail and you'll be well on your way.

Their best album IMO, I found some songs to be instantly enjoyable which is a difference from any of their past work.

Ascendancy is still this band's best, and the reason why I still have faith in them...even though they're wankers.

I assumed this would be worse than The Crusade (which I thought was alright), so I didn't bother spending my money. Looks like I should actually get around to buying this. I freakin love Ascendancy, it's much better than most metalcore albums out there.
