I'm actually quite fine with my own beliefs. And I don't begrudge anyone of any Judeo-Christian faith, as long as they keep it out of metal. And what the fuck does Nine Inch Nails have to do with anything?

Inserting Christian beliefs into metal is the same as inserting satanic beliefs. Both are the beliefs of the band and both have to do with religion. Its shouldn't matter if a band is christian, what counts is the music.
And As I Lay Dying make better music than most other modern metalcore bands and better than most of those stupid shitty modern black metal bands (like Balls excellently explained)This Message Edited On 05.12.09

The fact that you think there is such a thing as a belief system/set of ideals that is "incompatible" with any genre of music makes you, quite possibly, one of the most unintelligent people I've come across in recent memory...if you can prove it's incompatible on any level I'll send you $100 in the mail...
In response to the first thing Balls said on the first page...them playing Nothing Left was one of the better live music moments I've experienced this year.

So I thought music reviews were editorial and therefore subjective in nature. It seems here though that people take offense when a person disparages a certain type of music. Sorry for not liking Christian metal guys! Next time I'll be sure to fall in line and proclaim its divine glory.
Music is a subjective experience. Judeo-Christian beliefs are not part of that experience, for me. In my own mind, the two are incompatible, and any attempts at synthesis are met with disdain. If having a personal opinion of music makes me unintelligent, so be it. But if thats your sole qualifier than you're more of an idiot than I am.

Are you really so close-minded when it comes to music that anything that has any sort of religious influence becomes bad? August Burns Red, being one of the few decent metalcore bands at the moment, has christian members. Their lyrics may not be influenced by christ and whatever the hell else they believe in, but the members are christian and they like people knowing that, though they let people know without cramming it down your throat like The Devil Wears Prada frequently does.
tl;dr why would a band being christian automatically make the music bad, i really just dont get your reasoning behind that one

The reason your "opinion" has no credit is because you've yet to provide any sort of evidence to back it up. You've basically just stated over and over again that you don't like it when Christians play metal and you've yet to attempt to explain your logic behind that (if there even is any).

You'd think so, but they weren't. You could say Solid State is more of a "positive message" label I guess. (He is Legend isn't a Christian band either)

So I finally glanced at the review lol.....fairly good for a first. Don't always go into a paragraph like "the guitars yadda yadda yadda" or "the vocalist yadda yadda yadda". Song titles look better in quotes than asterisks too.

I don't like this band because their album cover is Green, and I don't like green. Green is a bad color, so the music must be pooh.
