hatebreeder = cohesive and okay
follow the reaper = just a boring collection of songs that, individually are great, but do not work together as an album
hatecrew deathroll = suck
something wild = more suck
are you dead yet? = guilty pleasure of mine
blooddrunk = worst album of 2008. possibly of the current decade.

Something Wild is great.
Hatebreeder is Awesome.
Follow the Reaper is my personal favorite.
Hatecrew DeathRoll is great
Are You Dead Yet is great for the most part.
Blooddrunk really isn't that bad I don't get why everyone thinks its the worst album ever. It's a solid 3 for me.

Cohesive and good.
follow the reaper = just a boring collection of songs that, individually are great, but do not work together as an album
Boring? No ****ing way. Cohesive? I think it's their most cohesive. I think this album is where they found the COB sound. It's not really my favorite of theirs, though.
hatecrew deathroll = suck
Yeah.
something wild = more suck
**** off
are you dead yet? = guilty pleasure of mine
LOL
blooddrunk = worst album of 2008. possibly of the current decade
Definitely not a good album, but certainly not the worst of 2008.

Regarding Hating Blooddrunk...
Maybe if it wasn't a Bodom album i could get into it.
My explanation for not liking it is just that it seems so generic
The solo's all sound like they've been done before
the riffs are very...american metalcore influenced
and his voice seems weak
but like i said those are just reasons i don't like it
maybe i should give another listen though and see if that's where i still standThis Message Edited On 05.09.09

Hate Crew Deathroll is the best Bodom album.

I wouldn't say it's the best, but I would definitely say it's very, very underrated.

I thought that when i first got it
but once i had it for awhile it kinda got stale
dont get me wrong i still love that CD
but compared to some of Bodom's earlier work i don't think it compares

Excellent review for an early one, I'll gladly vote. This has been one of my consistent favorite albums, an easy classic in my opinion. This and Follow The Reaper are two of the best back-to-back releases in metal.
I got some of Alexi Laiho's saliva on my face at a concert. It was metal.

Thanks for the review compliment!!
I totally agree with the Follow the Reaper comment as well
i have a hard time deciding which one i like better
But i think Hatebreeder beats it by just a smidge

I didn't say this earlier on because I thought that such a discussion wasn't going to occur, but it unfortunately did:
Children of Bodom have never released anything good.

I was hoping another CoB jizzfest wasn't going to spawn on the day I got out of work, but you guys ruined it for me. Hence I feel justified in raining down on your parade.

I find that I only listen to this band if I'm playing their songs on guitar, otherwise not at all
