yes, but in this case it is. Moshcore is awful
and you're defending the genre by constantly bringing up both this band, who isn't even good 'fun' music, and Emmure, who do nothing but steal Acacia Strain songs

yes and its perfectly fine for me when you have this opinion, but not in the case 10 guys come here and post some random flame. you were the first one that brought real arguments. i will listen to some older acacia strain, i only have the new album and its crappy. the others maybe save their breath and dont spill so much hate around.

Now while I do not have a vast amount of experience on SputnikMusic, I would like to comment on all this silly bickering. Granted, I have not heard this Years Spent Cold cd; however, I do know "mosh-core" music and would like to reflect on the back and forth between members on this review page. Stop it. Simply stated, no one can write-off moshcore music and more importantly any music for that matter. The genres all serve a purpose and as far as I can tell, moshcore serves to give the listener an outlet for aggression and satisfies through guttural vocals, downtuned guitars and the heaviest of breakdowns. For a time I too liked Emmure; however, that period of my life is now over after recognizing their new "nu-metal meets death-core" direction. I would like to state though that Emmure and similar bands are fun in their own way. Personally, Recon would have to be my favorite of the genre. That being said, everyone on here should just be quiet and comment only if they can do it intelligently. All the "-core" genres cannot be dismissed just because of the "cookie-cutter" aspects. Every type of music has a formula and breakdowns and two-steps are no different. Since I am leaving this site after posting, the bands I like are as follows: Bane, Gravemaker, Above This Fire, Misery Signals (older), As I Lay Dying, Stick To Your Guns, Remembering Never, Johnny Cash, Tom T Hall, The Doors, Death Cab For Cutie, Minus The Bear, Blink 182, etc etc etc. Hopefully this post comes off as objective and friendly as possible because my only intention was to promote acceptance of music for what it is, not what it's "scene" is.
