I gave those two a listen through the wonders of youtube, they are similar. I don't think it's as remarkably uncanny as the following examples though -

Stone Temple Pilots - Sex Type Thing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkeUWbFEwHs
Danzig - Snakes of Christ - http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=AU&hl=en-GB&v=1P-eJoZaCO8

RHCP - Dani California - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fyw_1r-SSJk
Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers - Mary Jane's Last Dance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdTYcnUBADw

Iggy Pop - Lust For Life - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPMn6bay3WY
Jet - Are You Gonna Be My Girl - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAxUIjJrFKQ

King Crimson - Frame By Frame - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjTxM1FiTzU
BTBAM - Selkies - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19UZd_DKs2Q

Just wanted to list these, I got a massive list of plagiarised song parts saved ;) But yeah, these are uncanny.

And here I though Sum 41 "Underclass Hero" ripping off American Idiot was bad...

And I think "Peacemaker" may be the most original and best song on the album. This Message Edited On 05.09.09

Holy God, "H & H" IS "Main Offender"!!!! Like, it's exactly the same. Right down the static-y effect on his voice. That's what I meant, not "The Vines".

That's EXACTLY what I thought when I heard it. I was like. WTF I'VE HEARD THIS BEFORE!

A total capiltalization on the success of American Idiot, which itself was a good but not great album. This is okay, but I'm prepared for it to be massively overrated like its predecessor.

Good review, but "emitted" should be "omitted."

I will probably download this next weekend and immediately regret doing so.

I'm aware of this. But I dunno, I just wanted to go out and buy this one because that's what I've done with every other Green Day album. I know they're a very hated band on here, but I really couldn't imagine my growing up without them.

I did hear Horeshoes and Handgrenades though; wow! That IS quite a Hives rip.
