Listening to 'True Belief' -- I promise that it shits all over whatever you're listening to.

Yap, pretty much Willie. :D

Coincidentally, that album has a guest spot by the Paradise Lost singer.

Yes, and it's one of my favs of that record. Nick's voice goes very well with Liv's, they should make some more duets.

I'd agree except that her last two solo albums have been terrible, and I can't see him fitting into Leaves' Eyes even for a song.

Oh Deus ex Machina is the only Liv album I know, haven't bothered to check her other stuff yet, and apparently it's the right thing to do. :D
How about her guesting on a PL album? eventually thy're going to slow down again, maybe after the next album, who knows.

They were never really a slow doom metal band, even on this album (I just re-listened to their whole discography at work yesterday). Their latest is the slowest, doomiest they have been since their debut. I think she could work on one of their songs.

Oh I meant becoming less heavy, my bad. I was thinking of a more trip-hop/electro approach like 3AM, but yeah, Liv also had an heavy background, that would work too.
I'm curious now, which one of their records stood out the most after that discography relisten? :D

This one and Symbol of Life. I think Symbol was actually the most enjoyable.

Really? that's a surprise, considering how direct that album is. Killer tunes though, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10. really like it too.

In Requiem
Draconian Times
Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us
Host
Paradise Lost
Believe In Nothing
One Second
Shades of God
Gothic
Lost Paradise

Oh...Gothic is too low. :/
I'd go for:
Icon
Draconian Times
In Requiem
Symbol of Life
Gothic
Faith divides us
One second
Paradise Lost
Believe in Nothing
Shades of God
I'm yet to listen to Host and Lost Paradise.

You're not missing much. Lost Paradise is terrible and even though Host is good, it is the closest they ever got to directly ripping off Depeche Mode.

So much is lost and Permanent Solution both kick ass, I'm just saving cash to buy their whole discography. Host is next in line.

The songs on Host are great, they're just the band's most electronic offerings.

No problem with electronic influences here. One Second and Believe in Nothing have their share of such elements too. Youtubed Made the Same last nigh, it was great too.
