Very good album. Digging the fact that the heaviest vox are on "Now that We're Waiting", which also happens to have the best clean vox. Awesome album and I look forward to a full-length soon.

Yes it is. If you haven't, check out the new song that's on their myspace. They've changed it up a bit, but the song is fucking epic.

Yeah, this is good. The new song sounds interesting. The THIS COULD SCARE YOU breakdown is one of the only breakdowns that's not ABR that I enjoy anymore.

I just checked out the new song on their page...sounds pretty good for being pretty rough still. Is Joey Sturgis doing their new album, do you know?

No idea unfortunately. And I don't think they will be, they're not signed to Rise. I'm personally hoping the production is stepped up for the new album, it's a bit rough here.

really? I dont like all of the bands he produces but I think he did a really good job on Miss May I, the newest TDWP, and he did an AWESOME job on Sylosis. Obviously Settle the Sky album rules too. Some albums do suck though, My Children My Bride blows and TDWP Plauges could have been better.

For anyone interested, Settle the Sky has put up another new song on their myspace. It definitely seems like they're going make some changes to their style, as the new song is less heavy then any of their others.

Also I just reread my review and I like this a lot more than my In Fear and Faith review. When I reread that I couldn't help but cringing a little bit. Anyone have anything to add along those lines?

Nah, Joey Sturgis adds all these glossy effects to the production that make the music sound like lip gloss. Just listen to anything he produces, and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's...syrupy. One of the only good albums he has produced is Kingston Fall's Armada on Mercury.

I doubt he's gonna be doing this album, considering they're unsigned at the moment. You check out their new song yet?

comparing this to the devil wears prada is blasphemous. tdwp is shit. this band actually plays more than breakdowns, uses keyboards as more than a gimmick, and the vocalists dont sound like dying animals.
