No, my geography is just fine... It's my memory that is shit.

For some reason, I have this want to burst out into "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies..."

I'd say it'd be because you're gay.

Are you aiming for staff using the 'g' word?

Hey, you're the one digging the band responsible.

"Oh no, don't you go on about songs being overplayed. The other review of this album does that also. I don't see what that has anything to do with the album itself. Just do what I do and don't listen to the radio full stop."

THANK YOU!
American Idiot - Green Day is hands down my favourite album ever, and I always hear people say 'oh that is so mainstream! the songs are always on the radio!' i makes me mad! lol

American Idiot is a boring album because you can only listen to it about 3 times and you never want to hear it again, partly because of the fact that every time you'd turn the radio on there would be a song from it on there. It's not because it's mainstream in itself.

Kane, that is 2 separate arguments. If you only think an album is worth listening to 3 times, then I can understand why you personally wouldn't like it. BUT it should be totally irrelevant whether or not it is played on radio too much.

That's my take on it anyway... & I still suggest that you simply shouldn't listen to the radio.

BTW Croc, I still think 'Dookie' is Green Day's best, no matter how raw and rough around the edges it is. Although, I tend to play their 'Best Of' more than anything else anyway.

I don't listen to the radio but it's impossible not to listen to it occasionally; whether you are in the car with your friends w/e idk you are likely to hear it. And I didn't mean that it being on the radio all the time is what made it boring ...that's what made it annoying. It was simply boring after a couple of listens of the album if that makes sense? Wasn't really anything going on.

Jesus of Suburbia is a kickass track though.

And ya 'Dookie' is best.

Also, good review again Davey.

Much clearer Kane. And yeah, I guess it's not always totally possible to avoid the radio, but I can tell you that I go darn close. Most of the time I have the radio on, I'm listening to sport. Even my clock radio in the morning is turned to a talk radio station (although that's mainly for tuning frequency purposes).

Thanks Kane. BTW, that's not one of your alter-egos floating around as Kanye Coopa, is it?

I hate the radio being on at work too and usually tell them to shut it off or turn the volume down.

You hate having the radio on...man be happy, at least you get some music to work to, I get nothing :-(

haha, that band is the only influence my parents had on my musical taste. I still remember the car trips, before the days of the ipod, with Fleetwood Mac's greatest hits on repeat for the whole time. This Message Edited On 04.21.09

My dad likes Fleetwood Mac...personally I think Stevie Nicks was better on her own.
