i don't see how a bunch of computer generated noise could be symbolic.

smhsfh.

Electronics have souls dumbass. He manipulates it to express a vantage point, and he does it very well - just as Whitehouse douses their music with misanthropy and rape.

electronics have souls? do they have morals too?

again your example is no different than my shit example. i like texture based music, but I enjoy a tiny bit of listenability.

Are you that stupid? I mean really? Are you actually trying to debate whether or not emotional music can be based off electronics?

no you fucking mongoloid. i'm saying that you trying to argue that it's factually emotional because merzbow says it's symbolic to his anger is no different than me taking a shit, capturing it on film, and saying it expresses my anger towards the plumbing system.

I'm trying to argue that Merzbow's music is emotional using the basis that electronic music can express emotion. And you're basically dismissing my claim because your opinion is different. Expected, but not constructive to a site based off musical conversation.

I mean you cannot say that Venereology isn't abrasive, and what does most abrasive music get compared to on the wheel of emotions? What? What? Yes, anger.

ahhh so if I make a recording of me crying, it's a magnificent emotive masterpiece?

not really. big black is abrasive, but I wouldn't describe them as angry. you could call it a brutal abrasive piece of art or a bunch of fucking white noise that doesn't change pace at all

It depends on your perspective, really, which is what every argument on this site is based off of.

But I can name so much abrasive music that is completely angry. Merzbow's catalog joining right in.

so if i sliced up your ear with a knife, would you consider that catharsis?

edit: sorry i'm just getting bored now. point is: merzbow's music isn't digestable.

Are you that angry at me? I mean, it would suck for me, but if that's what you want to do to relieve anger, then do it. (Although I really doubt you're that angry at some kid on the web.)

oh i didn't realize that making jokes was a sign of anger, i see you get out quite a lot.

Well I'm not saying Merzbow is digestible, really. But that's not the point you were getting at.

i was saying he wasn't emotional and you were saying that his musical literally is symbolic of his anger towards animal abuse
