Memphis Will Be Laid to Waste is one of the first songs that really got me into the 'hard stuff'. Before that it was Slipknot and other things I "thought" were hardcore. MWBLtW is some raw shit. Cool fact, this album was knocked out in a single studio session with very minimal recording studio equipment.

I love this album. It's kinda like Converge in that you either get it, or you don't.

Well, the review is dead-on. Pretty much my thoughts on it, and I see I'm not tne only one who thinks this album is not really that great. Basically, it just sounds different than most bands, but still, it doesn't make for great music. More than chaotic, it's just unestructured music, which probably doesn't have a point.

More than riffs, they strive to make noise after noise with their guitars, until they get bored and changes for a different noise. It that was their goal, congratulations, but it's highly unpleasant. The association with Converge may be misleading, because Converge actually plays music, and Bless the Martyr sounds like an experiment...in crappy music?

I sat through the whole of "Memphis Will Be Laid to Waste" just to hear Aaron Weiss's part, and my god... he transformed a piece of shit into something amazing. Everything that guy touches turns to gold.
