Maybe, I mind as well copy pasta this review and add some new stuff since most or all the songs here will be on the album.

There is more than meets the eye going on with Toronto based singer-songwriter Valerie Poxleitner. Under the moniker of Lights, her self-titled debut EP appears to be your standard synth-pop release initially, yet unravels a little more on subsequent listens. There is a rock element here, some dream-pop there, while an 80s new-wave influence never seems far away. The mid-tempo pace may inhibit immediacy, yet doesn't necessarily reduce catchiness. For a 6 track (21 minute) release, there is a touch of sameness about the EP, but one can't help but get the feeling that this 21 year old may be on to something. Recommended Tracks: Ice & February Air.
