This is 100% sure "A la mortaille" ("To Death!", "mortaille" is old French for "mort", "death") is 100% the same lyrics as an immemorial French military song. It's a song about living with death as a close friend in the battles against the enemies. Gotta love the lyrics.

I believe you, that's why I put it in the review. Trust me, the Neige stuff was wither a misread or a typo and I believed the stuff about the immemorial blablabla because Peste Noire really used a lot of cultural French stuff on this album. And yeah I know what the title means, I speak French (though it's pretty rustY).This Message Edited On 04.06.09

I'm sorry. But they are, so the praise is for them.

I really don't think people really give a shit who wrote what to be honest. If it's good music, thats all I need to know!

i'd be getting this

Well this is pretty amazing.

Solid. Most likely will be upped with another listen or two.

Never understood the hype over this band. I mean it seems like all corners of the scene get excited when they release a new full length, but it always sounds pretty standard to me... :-/

This band pisses me off. I can't pronounce the band name. Fucking foreign shit.

that's their style really, it manages to be very cohesive and clumsy at the same time

Nah, parallel universes freak me out.
Fair enough. His face will soon grace my eyes again.

I want you to repeat this like a mantra : Except "La Césarienne", Famine wrote all songs since the beginning in Peste Noire, Famine wrote all single riffs, all solos, all structures, all lyrics, imagined all concepts, decided on the direction HIS band was taking. Famine is 100 % responsible of PN's violence, of PN's chaos, of PN's melancholy, of PN's madness, of PN's sickness, of PN's irony, of PN's anger, of PN's acoustic moments, of PN's medieval songs, of clips and samples, of PN's thrashy rhythms, of PN's demos, of PN's "La sanie", of PN's "Folkfuck Folie", of PN's "Ballade", ALL is by Famine. Neige was used as session member on the demos where he played drums. Neige did NOT play on PN 's first album "La sanie des siècles" as he was kicked out of the band at that time. Neige was used as a rhythm guitar player on FF but the tracks were written by Famine. Neige was also as a session musician live. Neige does NOT decides of anything in PN. If you hate PN or any of their albums, blame it on Famine. If you love them, praise Famine.
What the fuck does any of this even mean?
