I'm in a post hardcore kick today and this was the first thing I put in my CD player when I got to work...oh man good times. Anyone interested in unique hardcore/punk/alternative/industrial/music with a keytar shouldn't miss out!

Earlier someone said this was ripping on BB. I can't disagree but any post hardcore frenetic sound kinda does imo

Yeah that's a real common opinion about Showbread. I was talking to the lead singer at a show and I asked him what he thought about people saying Showbread rips of BB and Refused and he said something like "I've never even heard the Blood Brothers and we sound like Refused cause we wanted to copy them" at least he's honest.
Their new stuff sounds nothing like this tho.

showbread isn't unique outside of the christian market though.

My first thought when I listened to "Mouth like a magazine" was that they sounded like the blood brothers, but later I listened to "Matthias replaces Judas" and I thought it was a great song, sounding nothing like the blood bros.

I've only heard those 2 songs, but I've seen lots of people saying they sound like Refused. Could you tell me in what songs, because the 2 that I mentioned don't sound like Refused at all to me.

starttostop, you happened to hear two songs that don't have the refused influence. the bulk of the record sounds very refused-esque because of josh's scream, which is minimally used in mouth like a magazine and completely absent on matthias replaces judas.

kane and caleb, stop being gay.

matthias is my favorite song ever because of personal connection, and stabbing is my favorite showbread song aside from matthias. song slays. the best songs are those two, llama, dead by dawn and smokers.

myhigherpie, you might like showbread but chances are if you don't connect with their lyrics or with them as people like most of their fans do then you'll be underwhelmed.
