Hypocrisy kicks ass, srsly. Virus is easily the best death metal album of this decade, IMO.

I definitely think it wasn't that bad, better than AYDY?, and quite enjoyable, but it can't be as good as Follow The Reaper. But here are some facts: the Lobodomy lyrics you posted are absolutely WRONG! Official lyrics have been posted for Blooddrunk and Tie My Rope, and they are alright, but everything else is pure incorrect shit.

Quote from website:

"A: ALL official lyrics can be found in the releases section of this page. All other lyrics in the internet or anywhere else are NOT official and incorrect!"

Just wanted to say that. Peace.

I really wanted to like this album, so I threw out my concept of CoB(hard to do seeing as there pretty much my fav band) and just listened to it and it honestly wasn't that bad other than the abomination known as Lobotomy. Then I listened to it from a CoB fan point of view and /facepalmed and put it in the back of the CD rack

i can't believe that people would give this album a 2.5 or below. i don't know if most of the people who rated this album have never heard a melodic death metal band before or if everyone wanted a second follow the reaper or hatebreeder album. i can admit, alexi's lyrics blew and his vocal style is "so so" on the album; however, the instruments and the new stylistic approach they had i can enjoy and respect. they went for a heavier and more modernized sound for this album, and not to say it is on par with their other previous albums, it is still a good album. how is this an average album? that rating should be for bands like disturbed or hatebreed. there are very few bands doing this type of genre who can actually pull it off and be successful. i think unless someone here is currently in a signed band and making money, they should stop pretending that just because they have over 3,000 songs on their itunes means that they can genuinely give this album below a 3.

so wait.... this band is above average because theyre better than horrible bands like hatebreed and disturbed?

not many bands play melodeath and get popular? oh, that explains through the eyes of the dead and the black dahlia murder!

and... if you're not in a successful signed band you can't criticize music? lolwut?
