Can't remember which one? I only remember because the next one I heard was "Skydancer" a few months later and it was a huge shock.

No, I got them both at the same time and I don't remember which one I put on first. I remember really liking Lost to Apathy though

Good review dude, have a pos. Still probably one of my personal DT favorites alongside The Gallery.

Thanks Crysis. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned the pure awesomeness that is Insanity's Crescendo. Balls was right when he said Neil from Theatre of Tragedy should just join DT, since it's worked so well each time they use female vocals.

Insanity's Crescendo is, in my opinion, the best song this band has written.

To me that's ...Of Melancholy Burning but Insanity's Crescendo is definitely in the top 10.

I agree completely on the album's quality but only have Fiction to compare it to.

^ You need to fix that.

Yeah you need The Gallery, and you should like Character seeing as you like Fiction. Can't really go wrong with any DT album though.

I'm fairly close to giving this a 4. I didn't give this quite enough credit before, but listening this is still mostly anticipation of Insanity's Crescendo, almost 7 minutes of brilliance, and then knowing the best is behind you.

I completely disagree, the only half assed song I find here is Atom Heart, and even the b-sides are great

No most of the songs are great, but I can't help but anticipate that song since it's easily the best one here.

hm...yeah probably
still I find songs like Tidal Tantrum, Dissolution Factor Red, etc to be highlights just because they're fairly unique types of songs. It would be cool to see DT experiment more in the future moreso than they do here

Hedon is the best song of the album in my opinion...

Pretty bizarre review, tried to make it sound like it’s just a close of The Gallery even though the albums sound nothing alike
