"but I agree with you, MotokoK: The Cooker is where it’s at for Lee Morgan."

right on, great minds think a like mr marc! i snagged the recent Cooker repress along with Tina brook's Waiting Game. the gatefolds look and sound amazing, highly recommend any of the blue note Tone Poet series if you're into record collecting

nice bill evans and cannonball dig btw homie. there's a neat bill evans documentary on prime video i saw recently

edit: sweet page break

I haven't dug into this one yet, but I've got The Cooker and I love that album. The Sidewinder sold out pretty quick on the Blue Note store, so I'm guessing this is one of Morgan's masterpieces. Speaking of Tina Brooks, I really want True Blue. Loving the jazz bumps these days.

Thanks. Man, I gotta get that repress of “The Cooker”. Thanks for the intel.

Love me some Cannonball, and Bill Evans is one of my all-time favorite artists.

Faded, The Sidewinder is more “loved” than The Cooker, but I like “The Cooker” better. It was the other way around a few years ago, but one day, I just lost interest in “The Sidewinder “. It doesn’t maintain high quality like “The Cooker” does for me.

Great album, no idea how I left this one so long.
