Still Life is infinitely better. But I would say get Blackwater Park over Damnation since this is what the band actually sounds like. Damnation was just an experiment.This Message Edited On 03.12.06

Opeth isn't melodic death metal, but otherwise great review. I was going to get this today, but it was 5 dollars more than I felt like spending out of the $50 I had for CD's.This Message Edited On 06.02.07

This may not be the best Opeth album but it's the one I enjoy and appreciate the most. It's one of my personal favourite albums of all time. Funny how when I first got into metal I thought Opeth sucked. My favourite bands back then were Bring Me The Horizon and Windir.

The review reads more like a 4.5. On the cons you mentioned only the vocals and Dirge for November, and the vocals basically rule, if you think of the genre, and you seem to agree. Aside from that, good track by track!
