Honestly I only got into Orchid like a month ago but holy shit this album fucking owns.

Truth, this owns the hardest though. I love how it breaks into those slow catchy guitar lines and the vocals get crazy fucking awesome. Plus, best lyrics ever.

yeah the riffs and arrangements really took a step up on this one. orchid is just too good.

And for like a year I thought Ampere was better....

I listened to Chaos is Me and didn't like it much. That was back when I had a lot more trouble liking different things though so now I'm trying decide if I should listen to that again or try something new with this.

not a huge screamo fan besides CTTS, CoC and Funeral Diner. Maybe some Suis La Lune. But this brand of emo/hardcore just annoys me.

At least you like Funeral Diner. I won't argue coz this is definitely not your style anyway.

yeah not at all. but yeah Funeral Diner is pretty epic. My problem with the less experimental and more hardcore emo is that if I want something truly emotionally lifting, filled with gorgeous melodies, Id rather be listening to indie or folk. I dunno. Personal preference.

I mean I appreciate Orchid. Like they're obviously incredibly good at this style, and it's kinda amazing on a listen or two, but like I don't listen to it hardly at all. Honestly just doesn't fit well with my ears... like this and Ampere and Neil Perry and shit.
