A truly wonderful album; Rosalita is indeed a remarkable song. I particularly enjoyed New York City Serenade as well.

E Street Shuffle is one of the funkiest white person songs I've ever heard

I like the last three tracks considerably more than the rest of the album and my favorite from this one is Incident on 57th Street.

Rates as my favourite album of all time. New York City Serenade is without doubt my favourite with the wonderful piano intro leading into a piece of structured music that has not been beaten by anyone.

I have no idea what he says the first line of "Kitty's Back"

But easily the best song on this album is "NYC Serenade"

Nice review and a nice album. It belongs to his best phase. Still, I prefer Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town, The River and Nebraska.

Proto-Bruce, he hadn't quite found his footing here yet, even if the foundations are there.

Amazing that he went from this to Born to Run in just a couple of years!
