Good review dude. I can't stand any of the songs off this release. Bad music + bad lyrics = no glory.

Good review for a bad band. Someone needs to tell Jordan Pundik that he's not 16 and hasn't been for song time, and to stop singing through his nose. The musical side of this band is always average, but it's pop-punk so it's not meant to be brilliant musically. Production could be improved by a bigger sound to me, which i think is from tracking each instrument individually rather than in a live setting. Seems sterile, and with music that's as simplistic as this it's like watering down water.

Do do do do do do do do
You'll never know,
I'm after you
Do do do do do do do do
You'll never know
And you smell like,
How angels oughta smell
And you look like
You're ready to go
So hold my hand
I'll take you everywhere
Anywhere
You wanna go

Well it is true, I do smell like how angels oughta smell.

band has always been meh. only worthwhile thing they ever did was cover Iris and The Promise.

The Hold My Hand lyrics look so bad written down. One of the bands I grew up listening to, still enjoy them now and again but I don't really care about new material.
|
| |
ya the lyrics were so bad but the song was so so catchy

I agree with the review after the first few spins and also that it sounds absolutely average compared to coming home which although not great was a good listen and still is from time to time.

Hopefully they'll fully realize that they're on Epitaph and are allowed to play whatever they want and they'll come back with something more along the lines of what they claim they love to play and listen to.
|
| |
I just hope they don't come back if they are going to make something like this again.

Unfortunately, this is probably what they'll sound like until they finally break up. I don't think they could pull off a Blink-182 change of sound or even an ambitious album like the last Green Day.

Best full length NFG has done since Sticks and Stones.
Thankfuly they are about fun music and not anything thought provoking.
Sometimes you need retardation to keep the fun on the up and up.
