"Despise" is such a strong word Billy.

I know Davey, thats why i used it.
Just lol at Kiwi accents in general, on the subject, who has heard the New Zealand song by the Scared Wierd Little Guys? Its bloody hilarious.

First time i heard it was when they played at the closing ceremony of the commonwealth games back whenever it was. I laughed for about 10 minutes non stop.
Oh before i forget, Davey and Jim, you both should check out this band: www.myspace.com/asoundmind This Message Edited On 02.18.09

yeah they're pretty cool. i remember checking them out a while ago (on your recommendation) and digging the music. the lyrics are really cheesy but
"to feel pain, to feel love and be inspired
the power to dream
the power to dream
the power to dream..."

ah bugger. Try this: http://www.mediafire.com/?dizwdzyuok1
Its the best acoustic recording ive ever heard. Basically an EP Zeke made when he was still with Full Scale.

Nice review, but I don't think the album's for me. Even highly acclaimed 80's pop annoys me, tbh.

Good review Davey, its nice to see you write a longer review again :-). I'm not sure if I would like this as I'm not too big on 80's pop (except Kate Bush and a few other notable exceptions).

Edit: Ha so I just noticed Hounds of Love doesn't have a review yet, think I might give it a crack sometime. This Message Edited On 02.18.09

Yeah good review, but I won't be looking into this. I'm noy a fan of 80's pop and the singles I've heard from this didn't do anything for me.

Hey Davey I should recommend you something, if you're into trip-hop I'd recommend Leaf - Made Into Itself. It's relatively unknown, but they're excellent. I want to see you review them if you're interested. Get back at meeee.

Feedback-O-Rama...

Billy, I still have that band on my list to listen to. Soundwave artists are very much dominating my listening at present.

Thanks Spamue1 & fair enough regarding your thoughts on '80s pop... It's not for everyone.

Jake, I was actually a little surprised you didn't have this album rated yesterday as I thought you might like it. Good to see you do.

Thanks Ross. I'm unsure I can compare this a great deal to Kate Bush, although as I have stated previously, Ladyhawke's voice does sound rather English a lot of the times. It may be quirky enough for your liking, although I'm guessing it would be more specific tracks rather than the whole album in your case. Forgive my lack of knowledge, but whose album is 'Hounds Of Love'?

Ali, see my comments to Spamue1 above.

Marko, I'm treading very lightly about attempting to get into some trip-hop. I'm thinking of starting with Portishead as I was intrigued by the little I heard from their latest release. But I am unsure the genre is really for me to be honest.

Yeah I might check out a few of the tracks Davey. As for "Hounds of Love" well that would be the definitive Kate Bush album. If I do a review for it it will be a 4.5 or 5 (most probably the latter).

Ahhh, I should have seen the obvious link between the album and Kate Bush in your sentence Ross. Obvious in retrospect. Ooh, the big Classic 5 rating... I will look forward to it!

I thought you might like the first line of this review Croc. In fact, I think I was speaking about you. LOL!

Rise Against are here at the end of March. From the ads which are still in local papers, there are still tickets left to, which is a little surprising.

Yupp :-) I don't actually own it so I'd need to get on that if I want to review it. Not like I'm in that much of a hurry, I already have a huge backlog of reviews as it is.
