I swear to god I thought I was the only one who thought Doom and Cam were alike, the flow, humor, and even the strange wacky beats they rap over sometimes. The review is so on point. Purple Haze is an absolute classic.

I don't even really listen to that many underground rappers I find most to be absolutely corny but Doom is one of the few entertaining ones, and it's the same case when it comes to mainstream rappers, Cam and a few others have been the only one to really capture my attention.

Great review. 5 stars.

i think i prefer this to Come Home With Me, cam isn't as weird and out-there on that as he is here

both are obviously still great though

Come Home With Me was one of his worst releases imo. I kinda like the second of his first two release, this is awesome, and Crime Pays is pretty legit.

this albums sick.. soap opera, killa cam, down n out, harlem streets... crime pays was good, some of the old sampling genius (silky (no homo), my job), just not as consistent. this was by far his best album, although it didn't have the hits off come home with me

This album is a classic, there is a reason why this is a 4.5 and pitchfork called it one of the best rap albums of the decade. People hate on Cam because they don't think he is saying anything, but his stuff just goes over a lot of people's heads because they are not smart enough to understand him. His wordplay is out of this world and so bizarre yet genius at the same time. There is truly no one on his level because no one can copy Killa Cam, unlike Jay and Nas who spit in a more basic way. Cam also has a lot of obscure references that most people won't clue into unless your from harlem will understand. The skits on this are classic as well as the ad-libs . For me this is a 4.8 out of 5, only because so many songs were left off of it such as "lord you know" "yayo" "diamond and pearlz".

A lot of people I know who listen to "real hip hop" say Cam' Ron sucks ass, should I let that deter me from giving this a listen?

Finally listened to this, Cam is a beast on the mic, his rhyme schemes are just incredible. The MF

DOOM comparision is spot-on
